To celebrate Grinnell through philanthropy, Scarlet & Give Back Day was introduced in calendar year 2015 as a 24-hour giving day. Since its inception, Scarlet & Give Back Day has inspired more than 11,000 donors to support the Grinnell College community with gifts totaling nearly $3.5 million. With your help, we will make this year’s Scarlet & Give Back Day another resounding success!
Scarlet & Give Back Day is an opportunity to build community and create unity amongst alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents and friends. Gifts – of all sizes - provide much-needed support for the individualized programs and outstanding academic opportunities provided to students every day. This year, your gift will go even further because an anonymous alum donor has pledged $2 for every $1 for every gift up to a total match of $500,000.
Gifts given from 5 a.m. CT on Wednesday, April 10 through 5 p.m. CT on Thursday, April 11 will count towards Scarlet & Give Back Day. Only gifts processed within this timeframe or other specifically designated advanced gifts will count toward the challenge.
If you do not see the fund you wish to support on our main Scarlet & Give Back Day page, please click here. On this form you will have the opportunity to indicate the fund you wish to direct your gift to. Gifts to an area of the College will be matched. Note: All matching funds will go toward support of the new Humanities and Social Studies Center.
